MAE 4311 — TEACHING MATHEMATICS II
This course provides Florida Educator Accomplished Practices-aligned knowledge and skills for prospective teachers and teachers in Elementary Education K-6 mathematics. Application of the standards and curriculum in elementary school mathematics K- 6 with emphasis on the content knowledge and pedagogical skills needed to provide a variety of developmentally and conceptually appropriate learning experiences for elementary school children. This course addresses elementary pedagogical content knowledge for teaching the strands in the Florida Standards for Mathematics and the Elementary Education K-6 Florida Teacher Certification Examination competencies in mathematics and includes a 15-hour field experience.
