Second in a three part series: Introduces basic laboratory skills to collect and process high quality blood specimens for clinical laboratory analysis. Classroom instruction includes anatomy and physiology of the circulatory system, specimen collection, specimen processing and handling, and laboratory operations related to safety, quality, control, etc. Course includes a skills component to prepare students for clinical experience in Phlebotomy II. Requires current HCP CPR card, criminal background check, drug screen, and immunizations to be completed or verified during the course
