ART 205 — History of Western Art II
Historical survey of the visual arts covering selected works of painting, sculpture, architecture, and other arts studied in relation to the cultures producing them. This course explores the global history of art and architecture from approximately 500 to 1600 CE. Emphasis is placed on the role of art within emerging cultures and civilizations, the relationship of art to social, political and philosophical contexts, and connections of past art and culture to the present
