HIST 58303 — Social and Cultural History of the Modern Middle East
An analysis of Middle East history in the 17th-20th centuries which focuses on the social transformation of urban and rural life. Particular emphasis is given to the roles of economics, genealogy, art, and popular culture. Graduate degree credit will not be given for both HIST 44303 and HIST 58303 .
