HIST 42303 — History of African American Women
This is a reading and discussion course focused on African American women from the colonial era to the present. Through a detailed historiographical study, students will spend the course examining how black women participated in the American project as enslaved people, free laborers, survivors, activists, political participants, and entrepreneurs.
