HIST 20903 — Animals in World History
Survey of the interrelationship between human and nonhuman animals in comparative historical settings. The course is interdisciplinary by design and draws from social history, cultural studies, religious history, literature, film, and visual culture to gain a deeper sense of how animals have been integral to human societies.
