DASC 16103 — Artificial Intelligence for Data Analysis
This course is a 3-credit-hour elective course designed for any level of university or college student and for anyone interested in the topic for workforce upskilling and reskilling. This course provides an introduction to the fundamental concepts and applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in the context of data and insights from data. Students will gain hands-on experience using real-world data and AI tools to solve practical problems using contemporary LLMs and/or reasoning models. For students other than those in computer science, data science, electrical engineering, or computer engineering. Prerequisite: Basic knowledge and experience with spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel or equivalent). (Typically offered: Spring and Summer)
