CVEG 54703 — Transportation System Characteristics
Introduction to the fundamentals of traffic engineering and transportation networks. In the first part, students will become familiar with traffic engineering studies, traffic flow theory, traffic control devices, traffic signals, capacity, and level of service analysis of freeways and urban streets. The second part of this course will introduce the basic concepts of transportation network analysis and explore some applications. Prerequisite: CVEG 34103 or graduate standing.
