CSCE 20004 — Programming Foundations I

Introductory programming course for students majoring in computer science or computer engineering. Software development process: problem specification, program design, implementation, testing and documentation. Programming topics: data representation, conditional and iterative statements, functions, arrays, strings, file I/O and classes. Using C++ in a UNIX environment. Corequisite: Lab component. Prerequisite: MATH 24005 or MATH 24004 each with a grade of C or better, and must be a student in ENGR, ENGRFR, EXPLEN, MATHBS, MATHBA, or CSCE-Minor. (Typically offered: Fall and Spring)
