COMM 123H3 — Honors Media, Community and Citizenship
Examines theory and research on how messages are processed, meanings constructed, communities formed and maintained through interaction with the media. Focus is on critical citizenship and media literacy in the context of the cognitive, social, cultural, political, and economic consequences of increasingly networked media systems. Prerequisite: Honors standing. (Typically offered: Spring) This course is equivalent to COMM 12303 .
