CIED 10103 — Introduction to Education
integrates psychological, sociological, and philosophical foundations of education with concurrent involvement in field experiences. This online course encourages prospective teachers to become reflective practitioners by emphasizing organization of school systems, planning and implementation of effective classroom environments, development of teaching styles, and new directions in education. A 12-hour early field experience designed to give prospective teachers opportunities to observe and participate in a variety of school settings is incorporated in this introductory course to education. (Typically offered: Fall and Spring)
