This introductory level course covers celestial mechanics and the solar system, electromagnetic radiation and matter, telescopes and detectors, stellar astrophysics, galactic astrophysics, large scale structure of the universe, active galaxies and quasars, the Big Bang and beyond. Lecture: 3 hours lecture per week.
