NURS4509 — Psychiatric-Mental Health Care
Emphasis is on the therapeutic relationship and its potential to assist affected individuals and families. Application of theoretical and practicum concepts guide professional nursing practice in in-patient and out-patient clinical settings. Concepts related to treatment modalities, such as milieu therapy, crisis intervention, and psychopharmacology, designed for health promotion, maintenance, and restoration throughout the lifespan guide practicum experiences.
