NANO3310 — Introduction to Nanoscience
The course starts with an introduction to nanotechnology concepts and continues to the main research areas in nanoscience, nanomaterials as the building blocks of nanoscience, tools and devices for characterization of nanomaterials, and finally the applications of nanoscience and nanotechnology in electronics, energy, medicine, environment, and space. The course concludes with safety, ethics and regulations regarding nanotechnology. Students are asked to read and present a variety of scientific articles and papers to the class and lead a discussion on the various works.
