This course is an introduction to the scientific study of crimes of the internet, computers and related technology. It will identify and examine the various types of crime measurement instruments in the United States and abroad and determines whether they can assess cybercrime. The types, extent, and nature of the phenomenon and those individuals committing it, as well as the specific laws, and the applicable criminological theories will be examined.
