CHEM2312 — Fundamentals of Organic Chemistry Lecture

This course is designed to explore the structure, bonding, synthesis, physical and chemical properties, and uses of organic compounds that will include hydrocarbons such as alkanes, alkenes, and alkynes. Chemistry of alkyl halides, alcohols, ethers, and conjugated unsaturated systems will also be covered. Also, radical reactions as well as stereoisomerism in organic chemistry will be introduced. Lecture: Lecture requires 3- per week.
