Students work closely with a neonatal hospitalist and will observe multi-specialty huddle, attend deliveries, learn about procedures common to newborn care, understand the long-term longitudinal care for premature neonates by participating in daily rounds, and gain an appreciation of the complex follow-up needs of high risk neonates.",

PHAR 51053 Principles and Methods of Pharmacology and Toxicology (3 Credits) This course offers an overview of the principles and general mechanisms underlying the effects of drugs and chemicals on biological systems. The application of these principles to proper experimental design is also considered. PHAR 51073 Graduate Pharmacology and Therapeutics (3 Credits) A survey pharmacology course that covers most major drug classes approved for clinical use and drugs in current clinical trials.
