Add to Bookmarks Was ERSC 2300. Introduction to how society is impacted by and responds to science-driven decision-making. Examines how society embraces and applies (including governmental institutions) scientific principles and technological advances to solving global societal problems such as sustainability of natural resources, development of new energy resources due to population and economic growth, changes in climate and weather, pollution, and human health issues. Case studies will examine societal responses (particularly governmental) to past and current global scientific and technological issues.
