Add to Bookmarks Three credit hours. Was ELEM 2303. Focuses on the foundations of early literacy in a natural learning environment for K through second grade. Emphasis will be given to learning to teach through the components of a balanced literacy program with special attention placed on designing and managing literate environments, appropriate book selection, language development activities, and using observational assessment strategies to guide instruction.
