Components of high-quality reading instruction, including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension, will be covered. The study of writing instruction includes transcription skills, the generation of text, and self-regulatory processes such as goal setting, among others. Observation hours will be required to complete assignments.
