Lectures will stress connections of modern chemistry to past chemists/scientists and how ideas are passed from generation to generation. The personality and human side of the scientists will be emphasized along with the interactions between science and society. Students who have completed CHEM 43033 may not enroll in CHEM 53033. Dual listed in the Graduate Catalog as CHEM 53033 (was CHEM 5330).
