ECED 11003 - Child Growth And Development ECED 11003 - Child Growth And Development UAFS Legacy Course Number: ECD 1103 Lecture all Students will become familiar with environmental and hereditary effects on the cognitive, affective, psychomotor, and sociolinguistic development of typically and atypically developing children from conception through age eight in the diverse cultural backgrounds within and outside of the United States. The students will be introduced to methods used to observe and evaluate children’s development and recognize possible delays in development. Practical application of theory is provided through a variety of hands-on experiences and observations. There will be five hours of observation to be completed in this class as assigned by the instructor. Child Development 5-8 will be embedded in this class. Corequisite: ECED 14071 - Early Childhood Field Experience I and ECED 10073 - Foundations Of Early Childhood Education
