WEL230 — Maritime Gas Tungsten Arc Fillet Welding (GTAW)
Provides an introduction to Maritime Gas Tungsten Arc Fillet Welding and discusses equipment setup, adjustment and maintenance, safety, electrode selection, training to develop welding skills on carbon steels using small and large diameter bare wire electrodes in all positions on fillet welds. Provides an introduction to specific types of electrodes and base materials used in GTAW welding. Lecture 1 hour. Laboratory 3 hours.
