MST 118 — Networking I

Prerequisite(s): READ 02 or Reading placement of ENGL 111 and ENGL 02 or Writing placement of ENGL 08 or higher. Networking I introduces the architecture, structure, functions and components of the Internet and other computer networks. Students are provided a basic knowledge of network operation and building simple local area networks (LANs), performing basic configurations for routers and switches, and implementing Internet Protocol (IP).
