MATH 164 — Trigonometry
Prerequisite(s): MATH 163 with a minimum letter grade of C or currently enrolled in Math 163 or placement of MATH 164. This course is concerned with the six trigonometric functions and identities associated with them. The student learns how to prove or derive an identity, as well as how to solve a conditional trigonometric equation. One component of the course deals with solving right triangles. Another aspect is the conversion of degrees into radians and vice versa. Some applied problems are considered. Lecture 3 hours per week. FZ, SP
