LINE 216 — Underground Power

Prerequisite(s): LINE 105, LINE 106 This course introduces students to the fundamentals of underground distribution systems. Participants will learn to recognize various cable types used in these systems, understand correct installation practices, and apply manufacturer-recommended techniques for cable preparation, splicing, and termination. The course also covers essential safety protocols and provides hands-on experience in isolating and grounding sections of underground cable. Lecture 2 hours/Laboratory 2 hours/Total 3 hours per week.
