FIRE 127 — Firefighter I
This course provides a foundational training program aimed at preparing individuals to enter the firefighting profession. This course integrates theoretical knowledge with hands-on skills necessary for effective firefighting and emergency response. Participants will learn essential topics such as fire behavior, personal protective equipment (PPE), firefighting operations, and rescue techniques, all while emphasizing safety procedures and effective communication within firefighting teams. The curriculum incorporates lectures, practical exercises, and simulated emergency situations to develop competence and confidence in various firefighting scenarios. Upon successful completion, students will be eligible to take the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Firefighter I certification exam, positioning them for a rewarding career in fire service.
