REF 1100 - Refrigeration I REF 1100 - Refrigeration I 4 Credits Topics also covered are the refrigeration cycle, thermodynamics and refrigerants. Students will use HVACR tools, materials, instruments along with soldering and brazing to develop hands-on skills. Study of compressor operation and the retrieval of nameplate information to determine capacity and application. The student will learn and execute safe handling techniques with different types of refrigerant oils and refrigerants. (Fall)
