CHM 1210 - Foundations of Chemistry CHM 1210 - Foundations of Chemistry 3 Credits This course covers significant figures, fundamental atomic and molecular structures, nomenclature, principles of bonding, Lewis structures, hybridization, valence bond and molecular orbital theories, stoichiometry, chemical reactions, solutions and concentrations, thermochemistry, electron configuration and atomic orbitals, elemental properties and periodicity and the behavior of gases. Some amount ot basic organic chemistry is introduced. This course relies upon and strengthens algebraic problem solving methods.
