HIM301 — Foundations in Health Information
This course covers foundational Health Information concepts related to healthcare delivery in the United States. Students will be introduced to health record content, health information access and protection, record storage, retention, and destruction, legal principles related to health information, revenue cycle management, and regulatory and legislative initiatives that affect healthcare.
