DMS126 — Obstetrical Sonography III
This is the third of a three – part series focusing on obstetrics (DMS 113, DMS 123, and DMS 126) and is designed to integrate and build upon situational challenges in obstetrical sonography. Students will be able to discuss fetal abnormalities, maternal complications during pregnancy, complications of multiple gestations, and challenging patient care scenarios. Critical analysis, problem solving, and independent decision making will be emphasized to prepare students for the clinical portion of the program. Case studies and patient care scenarios will be utilized throughout this course. Refinement of communication skills and professionalism will also be included.
