Examines the origins and evolutionary trends of primates, from modern relationships to growth, development, and behavioral adaptations. Course also covers primate ecology and conservation. Uses lectures, multimedia, and readings to compare and contrast the major groups of non-human primates and consider their relationships to humans. Course will provide perspective on the status of endangered species with whom we may share a future as well as a past. Field trips included.
