ABE60 — GED Preparation
This 3 credit co-requisite course provides structured preparation for the General Educational Development (GED) examination through integrated instruction in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. Emphasis is placed on foundational academic skill development, test-taking strategies, and individualized learning plans aligned with GED content areas. Instruction includes guided practice, small-group support, and opportunities to build confidence with academic language, quantitative reasoning, and interpretation of texts, graphs, and data. Courses of this type are commonly designed to strengthen reading, writing, and math skills while preparing adults to successfully complete the GED and transition to college, employment, or further training.
