RC 100 — Foundations of Respiratory Care
introduces students to the profession of respiratory care. The course will include the history of the profession, as well as the current and future roles of the respiratory care practitioner. The application of patient safety, communication, ethics, physical sciences, and microbiology to the field of respiratory care will be covered. This course will also include an overview of medical terminology. Prerequisites: Reading Proficiency
