This course is a survey of mental disorders as categorized in the American Psychological Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. The symptoms, causes and treatments of various mental disorders will be covered. This includes anxiety disorders, mood disorders, eating disorders, somatic complaint related disorders, dissociative disorders, substance abuse disorders, sexual dysfunctions and disorders and schizophrenia. Prerequisites: PSY 200 with a minimum grade of "C" and Reading Proficiency
