PSY 203 — Child Psychology
This course is an overview of child psychology the scientific study of the psychological basis of child growth and development. Emotional, mental, physical and social needs and developmental processes of infancy, childhood and adolescence are covered; nature and nurture interactions and processes during prenatal development and pregnancy are also covered. This course includes an analysis of a variety of home, school and community factors as they interact to influence behavior, personality, and development. Prerequisites: PSY 200 with a minimum grade of "C" and Reading Proficiency
