MRI 212 — Magnetic Resonance Imaging Practicum II

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Practicum II advances the clinical experience of students in the MRI Program. Students are placed in a clinical setting under the direct supervision of a registered MRI technologist where they assist with MRI safety screenings and a variety of MRI procedures. Students review pertinent laboratory values and assess the patency of venous access devices prior to administering MRI contrast media. Students determine the volume of contrast media to be administered and prepare for administration through hand injection or power injector methods. Prerequisites: MRI 211 with a minimum grade of "C" and Reading Proficiency
