DMS 127 — Introduction to Sonography

includes general pathology, ultrasound terminology, clinical laboratory tests, diagnostic procedures, patient interview techniques, medical chart review, and patient care principles. In addition, the course covers topics including professional interaction skills, professional codes of conduct, scopes of practice, pertinent legal principles, administrative procedures, and trends in healthcare systems. (Credit is only allowed for DMS 127 or DMS 101 and DMS 102.) Prerequisites: Entry into the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and Reading Proficiency
