CIT 102 — Information Technology Project Management

introduces the principles and practices of project management within an information technology and organizational context. Students learn how to plan, execute, monitor, and close projects using widely accepted project management frameworks, tools, and documentation standards. Emphasis is placed on the full project life cycle, stakeholder engagement, scope and resource planning, schedule and cost control, risk and issue management, quality assurance, and performance tracking. Students apply project management concepts through the creation and management of project artifacts and by evaluating project methodologies appropriate to varying project environments.
