The patient with problems related to mobility, perception, metabolism, and body defense mechanisms is discussed, with emphasis on nurse and patient functioning on a health illness continuum. Included: immune, neurological, endocrine, integumentary, musculoskeletal, and sensory systems, and critical care and crisis nursing. Professional development is continued, as nursing leadership, ethical aspects of nursing care, and the legal-professional role of the nurse are discussed. Engaging and interactive class time, along with assignments and exams, are used to facilitate learning.
