NUR 103 - Fundamentals of Professional Nursing NUR 103 - Fundamentals of Professional Nursing 9 Credit(s) Each human being is presented as a unique individual, constantly responding to internal and external stimuli. The nursing process is emphasized as students apply principles of physical, biological, and social sciences. Basic nutrition and pharmacology are introduced. Nursing history and elements of health and disease are presented. Professional ethics and interpersonal relations are integrated throughout the course. The student will learn health assessment techniques, with an emphasis on therapeutic communication. Engaging and interactive class time, along with assignments and exams, are used to facilitate learning.
