INE 199 - Phonics & Fluency INE 199 - Phonics & Fluency 2 Credit(s) Focus will be on improving pronunciation and fluency, especially when reading aloud. Activities include spelling and phonics instruction as well as speaking and reading exercises designed to increase reader’s fluency and natural voice when reading. A grade of C or better is needed to move into the next ESL class, ESL 104 . Emphasis will be on speaking although writing will be part of the class curriculum as well.
