HVAC 110 - HVAC Motors, Controls, & Schematics ** [ Click Here for Cert Information ] HVAC 110 - HVAC Motors, Controls, & Schematics ** 3 Credit(s) This course introduces students to the electrical fundamentals of HVAC systems, focusing on motors, control devices, and schematic interpretation. Students will learn how motors operate within heating and cooling systems, how control circuits regulate performance, and how to read and troubleshoot wiring diagrams. Topics include motor types and applications, relays, contactors, thermostats, time-delay devices, and safety controls. Through hands-on labs and real-world scenarios, students will develop the skills needed to install, diagnose, and repair electrical components in residential and commercial HVAC systems, with an emphasis on safety and code compliance. Students in this course are eligible to sit for NC3 certifications. Students who are successful in passing the exam will earn certification.
