GLC 190 - Introduction Comparative Culture Study GLC 190 - Introduction Comparative Culture Study 1 Credit(s) Introductory comparative study between U.S. culture and other cultures around the world through real conversation and interaction with people from around the world. Includes comparative research on an aspect of U.S. culture and another culture around the world, represented by someone in the class. Class will include a service aspect, with native speakers or experienced second language speakers taking on a mentoring role with international students new to the country. Students will articulate their viewpoints about American culture along with their perceptions of international cultures. Class may be taken by American students, students from English-speaking countries, or ESL students whose country’s governments require them to take non-ESL prefix classes.
