ELE 180 - Residential Wiring Theory ** [ Click here for Cert Information ] ELE 180 - Residential Wiring Theory ** 3 Credit(s) This course provides students with the foundational knowledge and practical skills required to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in residential buildings. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on lab work, students will learn to interpret electrical blueprints, apply the National Electrical Code (NEC), and safely work with wiring methods, devices, and components commonly found in single-family and multi-family dwellings. Topics include service entrance installation, branch circuit wiring, grounding and bonding, lighting and receptacle circuits, and code-compliant practices. This course prepares students for entry-level residential electrical work and supports progress toward licensure or apprenticeship, and also provides students with NC3 Greenlee certifications.
