Students will explore foundational reading skills and learn to evaluate texts based on quality, language, literary elements, and illustrations. Emphasis is placed on analyzing key genres, current literary themes, and trends. The course also highlights strategies for selecting age-appropriate literature that supports diverse learners and fosters inclusive, engaging instruction classroom experiences.
