Topics and techniques include lab safety, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), protein purification methods, polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE), immunoassays, Western blotting, cell imaging, and other molecular research techniques. Students will have the opportunity to earn an additional industry-recognized microcredential through the Bioscience Core Skills Institute (BCSI) and prepare for the industry-recognized Biotechnology Aptitude and Competency Exam (BACE) during this course and will continue to build a resume for future employment in the field.
