ART 2400 - Painting I ART 2400 - Painting I 3 Credit(s) Studio course where students work with oil paints to realistically represent subject matter in the tradition of Western Art and participate in critique sessions. Paint density, texture and chemistry will be discussed. The formal aspects of drawing will be applied. Painting demonstrations are designed to each student understand the objective of the assignments. Student will prepare their own painting surfaces in order to learn and appreciate the craft involved with the entire process of creating a finished work of art.
