AGR 230 - Horticultural Pests & Management ** AGR 230 - Horticultural Pests & Management ** 3 Credit(s) This course emphasizes the identification, biology, and management of insects, diseases, weeds, and other pests affecting horticultural crops in both indoor and outdoor growing systems. This course will focus on integrated pest management principles and responsible pesticide use. Students will engage in hands-on labs, field scouting exercises, pest identification practicums, and pesticide applicator exam preparation. By the end of the course, students will have developed the diagnostic skills and management competencies expected by employers and will be prepared to obtain the Missouri Pesticide Applicator License demonstrating proficiency in safe, legal, and effective pesticide application.
