WELD 126 — Gas Metal/Flux Core Arc Welding I
Credit Hours: 3 Prerequisite: None. Basic course includes instruction on entry level skills and knowledge to: identify and set up the types of Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) equipment; identify types and specifications of GMAW/FCAW electrodes; set up and perform fillet and groove GMAW/FCAW welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions. Covers the American Welding Society (AWS) D1.1 Structural Welding Code and related AWS SENSE Level 1 competencies. Offered Fall and Spring. (1 lecture, 2 lab)
